Agrovoltaic plant with monocrystalline silicon modules on single-axis rotating structures
Among the hills of western Sicily, the idea to design the agrovoltaic plant called Aurora came up.
The agrovoltaic plant is perfectly integrated with the surrounding landscape. It covers an area of 82 hectares characterized by soils which are favorable to the cultivation of vines, olives, cereals and/or legumes, either for grain or for fodder.
The project envisages an area for agricultural production, which extension is about 79 hectares.
Our business consists in the design of integrated engineering:
Not-on-ground modules aim at the optimization of the performance of the agrovoltaic system in both energy and agricultural terms.
The main characteristics of the agrovoltaic system are:
Power: 57 MWp
Structures: single-axis rotating
Cultivations: olive trees, honey-bearing vegetation, fodder crops
Expected Producibility: 121.587.675 kWh/y
Potentially Avoidable Emissions: 59.845 tons/y of CO2
