Advanced agrovoltaic plant with polycrystalline silicon modules on single-axis rotating structures
Among the hills of western Sicily, the idea to design the advanced agrovoltaic plant called Cluster R came up.
The advanced agrovoltaic plant is perfectly integrated with the surrounding landscape. It covers an area of 130 hectares characterized by soils which are favorable to the cultivation of vines, olives, cereals and/or legumes, either for grain or for fodder.
The project envisages an area for agricultural production, which extension is about 125 hectares.

Not-on-ground modules aim at the optimization of the performance of the agrovoltaic system in both energy and agricultural terms.
The main characteristics of the agrovoltaic system are:
Power: 101 MWp + 12,5 MW of accumulation
Structures: single-axis rotating
Cultivations: olive trees, honey-bearing vegetation, fodder crops, orchards, tree and shrub species
Expected Producibility: 192.718.245 kWh/y
Potentially Avoidable Emissions: 133.400 tons/y of CO2
