A MICROGRID TO COMBINE WIND, SOLAR AND TIDAL ENERGY

MECS (Multi Energy Compensator System) is born, the new project by Seapower scrl, a pioneer for years in the research and development of renewable energy systems.
The project has as its general objective the development of a complex system (microgrid) capable of integrating and managing the energy produced by multiple systems that exploit different renewable sources, such as wind, sun and tidal currents, optimizing overall costs, efficiency and reliability and is included in a cascade call of Spoke 2, “Clean energy production, storage and saving” of the Ecosister project, financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU, Mission 4 Component 1 CUP E93C22001100001.
Part of the project activities will be dedicated to GEMSTAR, the innovative tidal current conversion system developed by Seapower and currently at a level of technological maturity equal to TRL6.
